Ullrich Georg Franz senior, married to Katharina Bräuninger since 1794, is recorded as an innkeeper and grocer and was probably already active in this profession before 1825. His son, Ullrich Georg Franz junior, is documented as an innkeeper from 1840 onward; he took over an estate which he sold again in 1849/50.
In 1876, the property passed to Ullrich Philipp, who ran the inn until 1900. He was followed by Ullrich Karl, who received the official concession in 1902. In 1907, the business was finally approved, initially without overnight accommodation. Restrictions were imposed at times, including in 1920 due to an epidemic.

After Karl’s death in 1930, his widow Maria continued the business. In 1938, her son Julius Ullrich took over the inn. It remained a classic village inn, also used in connection with agriculture and serving as a meeting place for local clubs and associations.
In 1967, the property passed to Karl-Heinz Ullrich, who expanded it together with his wife, built a hotel and created additional parking areas. This meant that the business was already in the sixth generation of family ownership, with succession in the seventh generation secured through daughter Gabi.
When daughter Gabi took over in 2002, the business was systematically developed and modernised. As a trained hotel manager, she introduced new ideas and specifically expanded the offer for guests and holidaymakers. This included the creation of comfortable holiday apartments, which significantly broadened the accommodation options.
She also introduced new concepts such as “Die Buud” and the “Schwanenstund” breakfast, both of which have become very popular with locals and visitors alike. These are complemented by a wide range of holiday arrangements and outdoor events, which have increasingly established the business as a place for special experiences and memorable occasions.
